— ES Makerspace students group – A group of 4th and 5th graders met this week to discuss the MakerSpace. They helped generate lists of ideas for the physical space, tools, activities, challenges and more. We certainly had some amazing conversations with the young creative thinkers.

- Holiday Card Workshop – Create your own holiday card (with Google Draw (Basic) and Photoshop (Advanced))that can be sent, printed, and returned in about 3 days! – This Wednesday, December 7 at 11:45AM-12:30PM or next Wednesday, December 14 at 3:45-4:30PM in the Learning Lab.
— Tech Support – For help with tech related issues, please Open a Tech ticket. In addition to getting the issues resolved in a timely and organized manner, it also provides essential diagnostic data.
— Need an app? Here’s what to do – Please open a tech ticket to request for any app downloads onto student devices. There are multiple steps involved in the process, and it does take at least 24 hours to meet the request. It is recommended that you plan the use of the app accordingly.
— Hour of Code – Begins this coming week! Students continue to explore both unplugged and online coding activities during scheduled lessons, indoor recess and iPOP activities. Let me know if want me to do a lesson/ activity.

– Grade 4 is using the Scannable, Drawing Pad and Strip Design apps to make Graphic Novels (Realistic fiction, Graphic narratives)
– Grade 5 is using the Book Creator app to record audio observations about Electricity unit.
