A reminder —  AES Shared Network Drive Sunsetting –  The shared AES network drive will be turned off this by March 11, 2016.  The plan is to move towards full integration with Google Drive for file storage, sharing and collaboration. We can help and provide support to migrate files/ folders from Shared Drive to an organized Google Drive folder.

Tech PD opportunities – This week’s session is about the Creative Commons licences and how-to label digital materials created and/ or used by you. Our very own 5th graders, the ES Ambassadors, will be presenting thier learnings. Check out the ES Ambassadors’ personal invite https://youtu.be/yy1FMfKgB-E . The session is on Wednesday, March 9, from 11:50 to 12:30, in the BCR. Sign-up here or just drop-in.

Student Led Conferences – As a followup to last week’s note about the use of categories on student blogs for the grouping of the content, check this yet another example of categories. The student could create (using Explain Everything, Book Creator, Pic Collage and more) their learning reflections as one of these –

  • Challenge
  • Contribution
  • Change
  • Celebration

Take a look at one of our student blogs that uses the above categories. Click on the categories in the sidebar to pull up the specific content.

SXSW EDU conference – This week I will be attending the South by Southwest EDU conference in Austin, TX. Looking forward to more learnings … You can follow along on Twitter.

— A ‘Be nice to/ on your device’  reminder to students will be certainly helpful and guide them as they make choices to meet their needs.
